The "Bee"

Noah proudly wears a bee-pin in memory of his best friend, the love of his life and wife, Shelby, who passed away from cancer in April 2025. The Bee serves as a reminder of Shelby, her dedication to helping others through selfless service, and the mantra of Shelby and Noah’s relationship: “Together, we can accomplish anything.”

------------------
Shelby and Noah’s story began in the spring of 2021 at The University of Akron, when Shelby, a campus barista, wrote her number on Noah’s morning coffee cup. They quickly fell in love over Swenson’s and late-night music sessions.

Shelby had a profound servant’s heart. She dedicated her career to helping others, first supporting those battling addiction at Oriana House, and later protecting vulnerable populations at Summit County Adult Protective Services. She worked tirelessly to secure essentials like housing, heat, and food for those in need, saving many lives along the way.
In January 2024, Shelby was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer. She fought bravely through radiation, chemotherapy, and surgeries, reaching remission in November. As they planned a future with their three cats, Noah bought an engagement ring.
Tragically, in March 2025, they learned the cancer had returned—this time terminal. Still, they refused to stop living. They got engaged, traveled, and celebrated their wedding in Cuyahoga Falls on April 22, 2025. Shelby passed away eight days later.

Turning his grief into action, Noah committed to honoring Shelby’s legacy of service. He is running for the Ohio House of Representatives in District 31 to expand healthcare access, champion public education, and make life more affordable for working families. Guided by their shared mantra, "Together, we can accomplish anything," Noah is ready to help "Bee" the difference in Ohio.
